We are a community of families and teachers who believe that all children’s individual talents should be developed, their creativity nurtured and their knowledge and imagination fostered. In pursuit of these goals, Alice Birney Waldorf eK-8 School combines the arts with a rigorous academic program that educates the whole child. The broad-based curriculum includes drawing, painting, movement, music, gardening, cooking, woodworking, and hand crafts. This approach has been proven for nearly 100 years worldwide and over 20 years in our unique public Waldorf school in Sacramento. Alice Birney not only prepares students to excel in all subject areas in high school and beyond but also helps develop creative, well-rounded youth with a lifelong passion for learning.

Tax dollars cover much of our public schools operating costs. The above specialty classes, however, are supported almost entirely by the Alice Birney Guild, our school’s parent-teacher association and a certified nonprofit organization.

• 8th grade: A deck of handmade cards, 6-10 centerpieces that will be used for decor and sold

Silent Auction Donations Needed

Do you have a unique household item or antique, a framed piece of art or sculpture that you're ready to part with? Please consider donating it to Earth & Vine!  Maybe you know someone who has a unique talent or skill set? A chef who would be willing to teach a class or host a dinner? Do you frequent a shop or restaurant that would like to support us? Maybe your child takes a class somewhere or you know an artist willing to donate? The possibilities are endless and thinking outside the box is encouraged!
